2014 Holy Week
Please know I am very, very grateful to you for your many acts of kindness to me and to all the Members of the Boston Fire Department that you have extended to us since the Line of Duty Deaths of Fire Lieutenant Edward Walsh of Engine 33 and Firefighter Michael Kennedy of Ladder 15 on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.  The many telephone calls, e-mails, condolence cards, prayers offered and Mass Enrollments are truly appreciated.  Those who sent food to the Rectory, to the Firehouse of Engine 33 and Ladder 15 and to the other Firehouses throughout the City has been beyond all expectations.  Surely we are so very grateful for those who visited Engine 33 and Ladder 15 to express their sorrow and presented Mass Cards, placed flowers at the Memorial Shrine in front of the Engine 33, Ladder 15 Firehouse.  Again, thank you so very, very much for your goodness to our Boston Firefighters and myself.  Be assured that you and all those you love are with me at Mass and Prayer each day that God will bless you in abundance.  And, please pray for our Boston Firefighters and all Firefighters.  They are truly the Bravest of the Brave in their most noble profession to save lives and protect property from the ravages of fire.  Fr. Dan Mahoney, Pastor, Chief Chaplain, Boston Fire Department
